A wave, no matter how large, is still just water. When I understand a wave and how it moves, fear becomes insight. Like my thoughts a wave is just energy cycling through. When the conditions are right, when the water is shallow enough, the wave is born. It breaks. It dies. It becomes the sea again.

Help

wow… I am speechless this morning….
such profound thought in such a few sentences. great thought.
We should think about what are thoughts really are, and just let them roll like the waves, rather than clinging. But it is hard at first to become aware and act accordingly instead of letting our thought control us. For me, at first, itt was such a difficult habit to break, but when we do the “difficult”, our lives improve on all levels.
Thank you each day

Such wonderfully insightful comments!
Yes Mimi it is very hard at first to ride the waves, but once we begin practicing we find ourselves enjoying each wave that breaks and like a nimble surfer we begin to effortlessly ride each one, staying in contact with it, but gently gliding across it's surface instead of being consumed in it's white waters and turbulence.
Using this metaphor allows us to actually embrace each wave in our life, for it is another opportunity to learn the skills required to ride along andthat is so much more fun than getting beat up by the wave all time!
Peace and Love to all, Jim
