Jaded Fields
Good Day,
I have been posting here to the daily buddha for almost two years now. It has come to my attention that many of my posts at this point are basically saying the same teachings over and over. Diligent practice brings insight, loving kindness is the all purpose antidote to hindrances, and meditation cures our suffering. . . all so original.
The problem is these teachings are universal and if you get right down to it, so obvious. I mean why wouldn't they? These truths were realized several thousand years ago by a man named Siddhartha. He came to these insights not by following what was done before him, but by striking out on his own, by stepping off the beaten path and beyond the fields of what was known.
Over the next month or so I would like to take the daily buddha blog in new directions, to leave behind the well-worn and echoed messsages to grow and expand into something more meaningful and usefull to it's subscribers. After all that is where one will always find true meaning.
I would love to hear suggestions from each of you as to what might be more relevant, inspiring or useful from the daily buddha blog and in your own lives. I started this post as a way to connect and share with others and that will always be the thread that binds us together. It is time to grow, time to step off the beaten path and see what discoverie lie before us.
Please post any suggestions or thoughts and have a wonderful day!
Peace and Love, Jim
